A traditional recipe by Gerry Steirer

Ingredients
- 1 lb butter (softened to room temperature)
- 1 c sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 5 c flour
- 2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Mix all ingredients together by hand till dough is smooth. Roll approximately 1 teaspoon of dough into a marble. Flatten with palm of hand. Make a center hole with finger. Fill each hole with lekvar (prune butter). Bake at 350° till bottoms are lightly browned. Do not overbake. Yield: About 5 dozen.
